Sam Houston State head coach is featured today in a special feature article in the Houston Chronicle entitled "Fritz Gets It Done."
The article was written by Joseph Duarte of the Chronicle, one of more than 20 news media members who were present at the Bearkats' media availablity period Thursday afternoon after a two hour practice session at Pizza Hut Park's practice field.
The Sam Houston State football team is one day away from its NCAA Division I Football National Championship Final showdown with North Dakota State.
The Bearkats, with their 14-0 record, are the No. 1 seed in the NCAA playoffs while the Bison at 13-1 are the No. 2 seed.
The game will kickoff Saturday at 12:05 p.m. and will be telecast by ESPN2. The contest is sold out.
Sam Houston will have an hour walk-through session on the practice field Friday afternoon and attend the annual NCAA National Championship Banquet at lunch.
