Volleyball faces long weekend road swing

Deveney Wells-Gibson continues to dominate the opposition. She has led the Bearkats in kills in the team's last five matches. Wells-Gibson's season kill total of 340 is second in the conference to Alicia Dittrich's (UCA) 362.
Taylor Gray is second in the Southland in assists per set with 10.71. Her total of 889 assists is third overall in the league.
The Kats last match was a win over A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday. The two teams were tied for second in the Southland going into the match.
Oral Roberts is 6-5 and sixth in the league. The Kats won in straight sets over the Golden Eagles on Sept. 13. Kendall Cleveland led the Kats with 16 kills and Wells-Gibson added 11 in the match.
The Eagles have won their last three matches and five of six. ORU defeated league-leaders Central Arkansas in five sets Tuesday.
Central Arkansas has only lost twice in conference play and only three times overall this season. The Bears' two Southland losses came in the league opener against A&M-Corpus Christi and at Oral Roberts Tuesday.
The Bearkats were swept at home by Central Arkansas on Sept. 15. The Bears lead nearly all Southland statistical categories, including hitting percentage, assists, kills, and service aces. They also have the league individual leaders in those categories.
Sam Houston returns home Thurs., Nov. 1 against Southeastern Louisiana at 7 p.m
