Jesse Lopez inks early letter with Kats

Lopez is a first team All-City and All-District selection who averaged 16.8 points and 13.4 rebounds per game as he led Bowie to two bi-district championships.
"At 6-6, Jesse can play just about every position on the floor," Hooten said. "He excels at it all. He is an outstanding student and person as well. He is a versatile athlete with an outstanding basketball IQ."
Lopez was selected to the TABC All-Region team and is listed on the Texas Basketball Magazine All-State squad. A top student, he is a member of the National Honor Society, ranks in the top 10 percent of his class with a 3.8 grade point average and is a winner of the Junior ACT achievement award.
"What else can you say about Jesse?" Bowie coach Daniel Celaya said. "He's a great player, a leader and a great student."
