Basketball Single Game Tickets On Sale

Wednesday morning single game tickets for Sam Houston State home men's and women's basketball at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum go on sale both at the SHSU athletic ticket office at Bowers Stadium and online at www.gobearkats.com/tickets .
Single game basketball tickets purchases may be made beginning at 9 a.m. November 7.
Ticket prices for 2012-13 Bearkat basketball are
- Reserved Mid-Court Seats: $12 per game(in advance only)
- Reserved(End court areas): $8 per game(in advance only)
- General Admission: $8 per game
- Group tickets: $5
Season tickets still remain for purchase. Season tickets are $250 for premium reserved mid-court seats; $150 for reserved seats. Fewer than 15 premium reserved mid-court seats remain for sale on a season basis.
A new feature of Southland Conference basketball at Johnson Coliseum this year will be a return to men's and women's doubleheaders for league games.
Women's games will tip at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. The men will follow at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday and 7:45 p.m. on week nights. One ticket purchase gives fans access to both games. Season tickets include all men's and women's home games.
The men's home schedule begins Tuesday Nov. 13 when the Bearkats play host to Hardin-Simmons at 7 p.m.
Monday through Wednesday Nov. 19-21 Sam Houston plays host to the Progressive Legends Classic Sub Regional tournament with talented squads from Liberty, Southern Mississippi and UC-Irvine participating along with Sam Houston. Each night will feature a doubleheader with a 5 p.m. contest and a 7 p.m. Sam Houston game versus one of the three opponents.
The women play their first home contest on Friday, Nov. 30 with the annual "Pack the House" game at 11 a.m. More than 3,500 Huntsville area school children will attend, creating an exciting atmosphere inside the coliseum.
Both the men and the women look to be factors in the Southland Conference race for the 2012-13 season. The Bearkat men have earned 10 consecutive Southland post-season tournament berths and stand as the "winningest" program in the Southland since 2000.
Sam Houston's women have rolled up 35 victories the past two season - the most in SHSU's 30 years of NCAA Division I basketball. The Bearkats earned a spot in last year's Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI) and will participate in this year's preseason WNIT.
