Southland TV local affiliates will be KPRC-DT2 "This TV" in Huntsville (over the air channel 2.2; Comcast 320 in Houston and Suddenlink 732 in Huntsville) and KUIL "MYTX" in Beaumont (over the air channel 12.3; Time Warner channel 15 and DirecTV channel 43).
The contest also will be streamed on ESPN3 and ESPN Full Court PPV.
The game also will be broadcast on radio locally on 1049 "The Hits."
Sam Houston enters tied with Stephen F. Austin for Southland West Division leadership with a 9-4 league mark and a 14-10 record for the season.
Lamar stands in third place in the East Division with a 7-6 record. Central Arkansas (12-1) and McNeese State (10-3) lead in the East.
The matchup features four players ranked among the league's top 20 scorers. Britni Martin (16.8 points) and Sequeena Thomas (14.0) of Sam Houston stand as the conference's No. 3 and 11 scorers, respectively. Kalis Loyd (15.8) and Monique Whittaker (10.2) of Lamar rank No. 6 and 19, respectively.
Thomas stands as the Southland's top rebounder with 11.9 boards per game. She ranks second in blocked shots (47). Martin leads the conference in three-point field goals per game (2.7).
The Lamar game Saturday is the first of three games that will complete the regular season for the Bearkats. The women travel to Stephen F. Austin Wednesday, March 29, then finish the schedule at home on March 3 with a 2 p.m. contest with Texas State.
The top two finishers in both the East and West Division and the four remaining teams with the best record all qualify for the annual Southland Conference post-season tournament at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas, March 6-9.
