UC-Riverside challenges Bearkats

Saturday's game will start at 4 p.m. and first pitch for the series finale Sunday will be at 1 p.m.
The Highlanders (3-5) are coming off of a tough loss to San Diego Tuesday evening that saw UCR battle back from a three-run deficit only to give up the lead and the game in the eighth and ninth innings as the Toreros won 8-5.
San Diego was the Bearkats' opponent in the first weekend series of the season two weeks ago. Sam Houston took two-of-three from the Toreros.
Sam Houston (4-4) lost two of three in a road series last weekend at Louisiana-Monroe then dropped a 6-2 decision to Baylor in Waco Tuesday night
Left hander Cody Dickson (0-1, 1.00 ERA) will be on the mound on Friday and right hander Justin Jackson (2-0, 0.90) is scheduled to pitch Saturday.
UC Riverside's weekend rotation will feature Dylan Stuart (1-1, 3.68) taking the mound on Friday and Eddie Orozco (1-1, 3.48) pitching on Saturda.
Freshman Devyn Bolasky is the Highlanders top offensive threat posting a slash line of .452/.541/.484 so far this season. He has 14 of the team's 61 hits on the year and has scored seven of UCR's 31 runs.
The Bearkats have two hitters boasting .300 plus batting averages on the season: Luke Plucheck (.417/.517/.625) and Ryan O'Hearn (.364/.533/.455).
