Touchdown Club Piney Woods Luncheon Oct. 30

For the second year in a row, the Houston Touchdown Club will host the “Battle of the Piney Woods” luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the J. W. Marriott Hotel in Houston.
Both head coaches – Sam Houston's Willie Fritz and SFA's J. C. Harper – will be present at the special event. Houston TV sports personalities Randy McIlvoy & Bob Allen will host the event.
Last year's inaugural “Battle of the Piney Woods” luncheon was a huge success. The event led in to the most successful SHSU-SFA matchup yet at Reliant Stadium as more than 26,000 fans filled the lower bowl for another thriller.
Tickets to the luncheon are $45 each. Tables of 10 are available for $450.

“Last year, there were more Sam Houston fans at both the Touchdown Club luncheon and the game at Reliant Stadium,” Fritz said. “We hope as many fans as possible will show they are proud to be a Bearkat and attend.”
