Bearkats Move Up To No. 4 in Both Polls

Sam Houston stands No. 4 in both the Sports Network and FCS Coaches national polls.
The Bearkats upped their season record to 8-2 after a 49-24 victory over Nicholls State Saturday.
Two other Southland Conference squads are nationally ranked. McNeese State (8-2) is No. 9 in the Sports Network rankings and No. 11 in the Coaches' poll. Southeastern Louisiana (8-2) stands No. 14 in both.

Sam Houston has been ranked among the FCS top 25 for 35 consecutive weeks. The team debuted in the national poll Sept. 9, 2011.
The Bearkats have ranked among the FCS top 10 for 31 consecutive polls.
Sam Houston finishes up the 2013 regular season heading on the road to play both of the other two Southland ranked teams.
The Bearkats take on Southeastern Louisiana this Saturday in Hammond, La., and Central Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Conway.
