Sam Houston State will have a brother and sister basketball combination next year.
Angela Delaney, a 5-8 combo guard from Harker Heights High School in Killeen, has signed a letter-of-intent with Bearkat women's basketball coach Brenda Nicholls to play for SHSU in 2014-15.

Her brother, Josh, has also signed with the Kats to play men's basketball. The two both are seniors at Harker Heights.
Angela earned All-District 8-5A honors as a junior last year and is averaging 16.1 and 2.5 rebounds per contest as a senior.
“Angela is going to be a great asset to our team next season,” Nichols said. “Her versatility at the guard position makes her an offensive threat. Her athleticism makes her an aggressive defender as well.”
Josh is a 6-0 point guard who led Harker Heights into the playoff last season.
Angela is a year younger than her twin brothers, Josh and Cameron.
“Josh visited some other schools but I was hoping he would end up with me at Sam Houston,” Angela told her home town newspaper, The Herald, on signing day. “Sam Houston is a family-oriented campus and I like that.”
