Kats Look To Nail Down Second Seed

The Bearkats can clinch their second consecutive number two seed at next week's Southland Conference post-season volleyball tournament today with a victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
The Kats and the Islanders play at 2 p.m.
Central Arkansas already owns the number one seed in the tournament. The Bears are unbeaten in league action. A&M-Corpus Christi definitely is the No. 5 seed.
Northwestern State and Oral Roberts have chances to earn either the number two, three or four seeds. The Bearkats hold the tiebreaker over the Demons after a four-set win in Natchitoches, La., has month.
If Sam Houston wins, Northwestern State wins and ORU wins or loses, the seeds will be SHSU #2, Northwestern State #4 and ORU #4.

If all three teams lose Saturday or if the Demons and Bearkats both lose and ORU wins, Northwestern State will be #2, Sam Houston #3 and ORU #4.

The Southland Conference tournament begins Friday at 11 a.m. and is hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The finals will be on Sunday afternoon.
