Guillory & Robertson Sign With Kats

Saundra Guillory and Shernise Robertson both have signed letters-of-intent to attend Sam Houston State University and play women's basketball for head coach Brenda Nichols.
Guillory is a 6-1 forward from Anderson High School in Austin. Robertson is a 5-6 guard from Tyler Junior College.
Both signed during the November early letter-of-intent period.
As a high school senior, Guillory is averaging 12.1 points, 11.2 rebounds. She posted 17 rebounds, four blocks and three steals in a game this week against Stony Point.
“Saundra is a tremendous athlete coming from a great program,” Nichols said. “She is playing for one of our former Bearkat plays, Katrina Hall who was an amazing point guard. I know she has passed that basketball IQ down to Saundra.”
Robertson averaged 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.3 steals last season for the Tyler Apaches. She was selected as one of 40 players to appear in the NJCAA Women's Basketball Association All-Star Weekend in July.
Robertson played in high school at Cypress Falls.
“Shernise is a remarkable athlete who can play at both the point guard and shooting guard positions,” Nichols said. “Her ability to see the floor and her passing skills will be a great asset next year as we return 4 senior post players. Her scoring ability is icing on the cake.”
