Bearkats No. 14 in both FCS Polls

NCAA PLAYOFF TICKET INFORMATION
The Bearkats stand No. 14 in both the Sports Network FCS and NCAA FCS Coaches polls.
Sam Houston now has been ranked among the FCS top 25 for 37 consecutive weeks. The team debuted in the national poll Sept. 9, 2011. During an 11-0 regular season in 2011, the Kats rose to No. 1 at the end of the regular season.
The last time SHSU has not been ranked in the FCS top 10 was on Oct. 3, 2011, when the Kats were No. 11. The following week, SHSU moved up to No. 10 to starting a string of 32 consecutive polls among the top 10. SHSU stood No. 2 in the final polls in 2011 and 2012.
Sam Houston will play host to No. 22 Southern Utah in the opening round of the NCAA Division I Football Championships Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in Huntsville, Texas.
The Bearkats are advancing to the FCS playoffs for the third year in a row. The past two season, Sam Houston has reached the National Championship game in Frisco.
