
More Football Honors For Flanders, Williams

Sam Houston seniors Timothy Flanders and Torrance Williams each have received their second selection to a 2013 FCS All-America squad.
BeyondSportsNetwork.Com has named Flanders to its second team offensive unit at running back and Williams as a third team wide receiver selection.
Williams and Flanders both also were named to the 2013 CollegeSportsMadness.com FCS All-America squad.
Flanders, the first running back in Southland Conference history to rush for more than 5,000 career yards, led the league in rushing for the fourth year in a row in 2013. No other player in Southland history has achieved that feat.
The Midwest City, Okla., now has been named to 12 All-America squads in the past three years. He ranks No. 3 in all-time FCS rushing touchdowns (66) and No. 6 in FCS career rushing yards (5,664) and scoring (420 points).
Flanders set 33 Sam Houston school records and nine Southland Conference marks during his career. This year, he lead the Southland with 1,430 yards rushing on 241 carries.
Williams ranked No. 3 in the Southland Conference in receiving yards (55 catches for 964 yards) and led the league in punt return yards (464) in 2013.
The Connally High School product broke the Sam Houston single season punt return yardage school record. He also set a single game school mark with five returns for 138 yards in SHSU's victory over Lamar.
Williams completed his Bearkat career ranked No. 5 in Sam Houston career punt return yardage with 31 returns for 487 yards.
