2013 was a record breaking season for Sam Houston cornerback DeAntrey Loche. The senior intercepted three passes and returned all three for scores, setting a new school record.
His interception against Eastern Washington was key in a victory over the then No. 2 team in the country.
He had a late return for a score against SFA, helping the Kats to their third straight win in the Battle of the Piney Woods.
In the playoffs against Southeastern Louisiana, Loche returned an interception for a touchdown to give the Kats an early 14-0 lead.
