Sheridan Currie and Natalie Petaia earned a victory in the No. 1 pro set, defeating Andi Botha and Ivana Katavic 8-6. Nadia Dubyanskaya and Maddie Mortimore, a new pairing for the Kats, won at No. 2 while Imke Jagau and Kayla Stevenson took the No. 3 doubles.

Currie, Mortimore, Tanya Postnikova and Dubyanskaya all won in straight sets at the No. 1, 4, 5 and 6 singles positions. Jagau and Petaia bounced back after dropping the first set to win in three at No. 2 and 3 , respectively.

Sam Houston returns to the McAdams Tennis Center to take on McMurry University of Abilene in another non-conference dual match Sunday at 12 noon.
