Sam Houston State improved its standing for the Southland Conference post-season tournament with a 7-0 victory over Oral Roberts Saturday afternoon.

The Bearkats swept singles with five of the six victories in three sets.

Sheridan Currie and Natalie Petaia paired at number two and Maddie Mortimore and Kayal Stevenson won at number three as the Bearkats opened the match by winning the doubles point.

The Bearkats will pay host to Central Arkansas Sunday at 10 a.m. in Sam Houston's final regular season match of the 2013 season.

The Southland post-season tournament begins in Beaumont on Friday April 26.
