
Volleyball Team Now 9-2 In Spring Play

Sam Houston's Southland Conference champion volleyball team continues to have success during its 2013 spring schedule.
The Bearkats played in the A&M-Corpus Christi Tournament April 6, winning three of their four matches.
Sam Houston defeated Texas A&M-International, Coastal Bend and Wharton before falling to the A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders.
The Kat volleyball team stands 9-2 in spring play.
Southland Conference volleyball “player of the year” Deveney Wells-Gibson led Sam Houston with 36 kills and a .306 hitting percentage in the tournament. Haley Neisler added 27 kills and Lauren Bohlen totaled 10. Neisler hit .345.
Setter Tayler Gray led the defense with 15 digs while Caitlyn Cleveland and Wells-Gibson each totaled 10. Wells-Gibson and Sarah Guzman both led the team with five aces apiece.
