Flanders, Sneed Named Preseason All-American

Running back Timothy Flanders and cornerback Bookie Sneed have been selected to the 2013 Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-American Team.
Flanders was named to the second team. The senior from Midwest City, Oklahoma, stands as Sam Houston's all-time leader in rushing (4,234 career yards) and scoring (55 touchdowns). He was named to the Sports Network first team.
Sneed is a third teamer on both the Sports Network and Phil Steel preseason teams. The Conroe senior has started 39 games, totaled 147 tackles and ranks No. 8 in SHSU career interceptions.
The Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-Conference teams were announced in conjunction with the All-American teams.
Flanders and Sneed are joined by wide receiver Chance Nelson, defensive lineman Gary Lorance, and linebacker Jessie Beauchamp on the All-Southland first team.
Quarterback Brian Bell, offensive lineman Donald Jackson, and defensive lineman Jarrett Brown are members of the second team.
