Football Auction and Dinner Friday July 26

Celebrating its silver anniversary, the Sam Houston State University football dinner and auction looks to be bigger and better than ever as the 2013 edition of the 25-year-old affair kicks off Friday night, July 26.
Doors will open and the silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. Again this year, the event will be held at the Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum.
Since 1988 the annual fundraiser for the Bearkat football enrichment fund has given Sam Houston fans an opportunity to bid on great items including football gear; sports memorabilia from Sam Houston and other college and pro teams; golf, hunting and fishing items; art work and all kinds of other exciting “stuff.”
"Our fans are still talking about the success of the 2012 auction," Sam Houston head coach Willie Fritz said of last year's event, which featured the largest auction crowd ever. "We've got even more exciting items up for bid this year and, when you buy a ticket, you're helping create an even stronger Sam Houston football program.”

"The football staff is so grateful for all the people who attend and bid on all the great items," Sam Houston head coach Willie Fritz said. "Every year this great event just gets better and better.
