Kats Remain At No. 5 In Rankings

Sam Houston remains No. 5 in both the Sports Network and the FCS Coaches Poll national rankings after the third week of action for the 2013 season.
North Dakota State remains in the No. 1 spot in both polls.
Eastern Washington, the Bearkats' opponents at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 28, stand No. 2 in the Sports Network ranking. The Eagles fell to No. 4 in the FCS Coaches poll.
EWU and Sam Houston met in the NCAA FCS semifinals last year in Cheney, Wash., with the Bearkats advancing to the national championship game after a 45-42 victory.
The EWU-SHSU pairing has been hailed as the match-up of the year in FCS football this year by the Sports Network.
