	TRICIA CLACKEN All-Southland Conference honors eight times during her four-year career as a sprinter and long jumper for the women's track and field team from 1994 to 1997 NCAA Division I provisional qualifier in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes in 1996. Two-time Southland runner-up indoors in the 55 meter dash and placed second outdoors twice in the SLC 100 meters and once in the 200 meters

	JOANNE GRAHAM NCAA Division II All-America and All-Region Softball letter winner 1985, 1986, 1987 1988 Sam Houston softball's all-time leader in RBIs with 112 71-36 career pitching record with 0.94 ERA

	NANCY METCALFE Tennis 1983 1984 1985 1986 Lone State Conference “Freshman of the Year” 1983. Set school records for career singles and doubles victories that stood for 16 years. One of the first two Sam Houston State women's tennis players to earn an NCAA Division II national ranking in doubles

	VICKY RESNICK Women's golf 1997-98 to 2000-01 Most Valuable Player” for the 1999 Bearkats Played in 91 rounds of tournament action helping lead the Bearkats to 10 tournament team titles

	JEREMY BURKHALTER Four-year starter from 1998 to 2001 Third in scoring among Sam Houston men's basketball players His 1,689 career points highest total in the Bearkats' NCAA Division I history. Starter on the Bearkats' 2000 Southland championship team

	JONATHON COOPER All-America and All-Southland on 2001 championship football team. Career mark of 185 catches for 2,617 yards. Holds school record for most receiving yards in one game (242 against Western Illinois) and one season (1,477 in 2001). NCAA Division I-AA national “Wide Receiver of the Year” 2001 Played pro football in the Arena League with the Detroit Fury and in the Canadian Football League with Montreal

	BRANDT KIESCHNICK One of only two golfers to earn All-Southland Conference honors each of his four years Playing in 1996 through 1999, Brandt twice was named Southland Conference men's “Golfer of the Year.” 1999 Southland individual medalist title and was league individual runner-up in 1996 and 1997.

	JIM MILLER Baseball 1971 1972 1973 1974 Compiled 26-7 career record with 1.66 earned run average. First-team NAIA All-America pitcher in 1974. Led the Bearkats to a four-year record of 125 wins and only 54 losses and NAIA World Series appearances in 1972 and 1974.
