Demons visit Kats Friday at 6:30 PM

The Bearkat soccer team will be looking for a third straight victory when they host Northwestern State for a “Free Food Friday” October 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Pritchett Field. The first 100 students in attendance will be treated to free Double Dave's Pizza. Two lucky fans will also have the opportunity to win a Houston Dynamo prize package.
Northwestern State is winless so far in league play with three losses and a draw. The Demons have been outscored 11-2 in their four Southland games. SHSU and Northwestern State each have three wins overall this season.
Sam Houston has outscored conference opponents 10-6 and has a 2-1 record after three league games. Ashley Alonzo has scored five goals over the last three matches. Allie Johnson has three goals and two assists while Shelby McDaniel has two goals.
The Kats will then travel to Nacogdoches to take on SFA Sunday at 1 p.m. The Lumberjacks are 6-2-1 this season with their only two losses coming to ranked opponents Texas A&M and Arkansas. SFA is 2-0 in conference play but did need overtime to beat Lamar 2-1.
The Jacks play at Houston Baptist Friday night before hosting the Bearkats.
To be eligible for the Houston Dynamo prize packages Friday night, contestants must like BearkatSports on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Fans then enter into the drawing at the game on October 3rd by visiting the sport management table set up by the entrance gates. The winners will be drawn at halftime.
