FOOTBALL KICKOFF MOVED TO 12:30 PM

Kickoff for the Saturday, November 22 football game between Sam Houston State and Central Arkansas has been changed to 12:30 p.m. due to the threat of inclement weather in southeast Texas.
“Our main concern is for the safety of Sam Houston's and Central Arkansas' players and coaches as well as the fans,” Sam Houston Athletic Director Bobby Williams said. “The weather is always unpredictable but with the information we have at this time we feel this is our best option. Because of the unpredictability of the situation we wanted to wait for the most accurate and updated forecast before making this decision.”
The game, which was originally scheduled for 3:00 p.m., holds importance in the Southland Conference championship race. With a win the Bearkats will claim a share of a third Southland title in four seasons.
Gates will still open 90 minutes before kickoff and tickets can still be purchased in advance by going to www.gobearkats.com/tickets, calling 936-294-1729 or by stopping by the ticket office in the Ron Mafrige Field House.
The local affiliate of the Southland TV Network, the KUBE Channel 57 in Houston, will broadcast the game on delay at 3:00 p.m. Coverage on the other SLCTV affiliates will vary.
The online broadcast on www.WatchESPN.com and www.Southland.org/watch will be live starting at kickoff.
