Bearkat Women In South Dakota Tonight

When Sam Houston State takes on a high-scoring South Dakota State squad Monday night at Frost Arena in Brookings, South Dakota, the Bearkats will be playing short-handed.
The Kats' three senior leaders – Angela Beadle, Jazmin Wiley and Jasmine Robinson – all missed Friday's home opener with Wiley College due to injuries. Junior guard Summer Fife also was unavailable to play.
The 1-2 Jackrabbits are led by Megan Waytaskek who comes into Monday night's contest averaging 19.3 points per game after hitting her 1,000th career point Saturday night in a road game.
Mariah Clarin adds 15.0 points per game to the South Dakota State attack. The Jackrabbits' lone victory this year came over BYU.
Sam Houston, 0-2 to start the year, is led by the backcourt duo of Shernise Robertson and Taylor Dorsey. Robertson, a transfer from Tyler Junior College, is averaging 17.0 points per game while Dorsey adds 10.5
