More Post-Season Honors For Bearkats

Donald Jackson III, P. J. Hall, Trenier Orr and Luc Swimberghe of Sam Houston State all have been named to the FCS All-America squad selected by BeyondSportsNetwork.com.
Hall led the Southland Conference and ranked among the top three in the nation in tackles for losses with 30 for 118 yards. The defensive end finished third in the voting for the Jerry Rice Award as the top FCS freshman in 2014.
Overall, Hall totaled 93 tackles, blocked five kicks, forced four fumbles and intercepted a pass.
The BSN award marks the third all-America honor for Jackson this season. He also has been named to the Associated Press and CollegeSportsMadness.com honor squads.
Jackson started every game this season at offensive tackle for a Bearkat offense that led the Southland Conference and ranked sixth nationally in rushing this season. The SHSU rushing attack rolled up 259.1 yards per game.
Orr was one of the top defensive backs in the Southland Conference. He totaled 67 tackles including three for losses. He led Sam Houston with four interceptions.
Swimberghe ranked as Sam Houston's second-leading scorer with 121 points. He was successful on 18 of 21 field goals and was perfect (15-for-15) on field goals from 39-yards in. The sophomore kicked 67 extra points.
Hall, Jackson, Orr and Swimberghe helped to lead Sam Houston to an 11-5 record this fall. The Bearkats won the 2014 Southland Conference championship and reached the semifinals of the FCS national playoffs. Sam Houston defeated three top 10 ranked opponents to reach the semifinals for the third time in the past four seasons.
