Southland All-Session Tickets Now On Sale

The “Countdown to Katy” is on as the 2014 Southland Conference race tightens with each game going into the final three weekends of the regular season.
All-session tickets for the 2014 Southland Conference Basketball Tournament March 12-16 at the Leonard E. Merrell Center in Katy are now on sale.
Seats in the Sam Houston section for the tournament are available now online at Southland Tournament Tickets. Reserved all-tournament booklets sell for $75 each, while general admission all-tournament booklets are available for $60.
The eight top finishers in both the regular season men's and women's basketball standings will earn berths in the Southland Basketball Tournament March 12-15 at the Leonard E. Merrell Center in Katy.
This will be the seventh consecutive year for the tournament to be held at the Merrell Center.
Sam Houston's men's basketball team already has nailed down a berth. Men's action begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 12. The top two seeds receive byes into the semifinals March 14. The No. 3 and 4 seeds are automatically in the quarterfinals March 13.
The men's final will be played on Saturday, March 15, at 7:30 p.m. with the contest televised nationally on ESPN2.
The Bearkat women's team is still in the hunt for a berth at Katy as well.
The Southland women's event begins Thursday, March 13, with first round games pairing seeds No. 5 through 8.
The 2014 tournament will be the 15th in league history to be played at a neutral site. The tournament was played in Shreveport, La., from 1995-2001 and was held in Houston in 2007 before moving to Katy in 2008.
