Football Walk-On Try-Out Feb. 12

Walk-on try-outs for the Bearkat football team will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 4 p.m. at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium.
Candidates will gather at the SHSU team meeting room on the dressing room level at the Ron Mafrige Field House.
To walk-on for the Bearkat football team, an individual must be a current Sam Houston student enrolled in no less than 12 hours this semester.
Walk-on candidates are required to bring the following:
1.) Proof of health insurance
2.) Current physical (taken within one year of the Feb. 12 walk-on try-out)
3.) Physical must be shown at the athletic training office for approval
4.) A sickle cell test/waiver. Call the SHSU health center (294-1805) for appointment
5.) Certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
