Access the Southland Football Media Telecast Wednesday
Sam Houston State head football coach K. C. Keeler and players Keshawn Hill and Michael Wade will be featured in the ESPN3 telecast of Southland Conference football media day Wednesday, July 24.
Media day again will be held at L'auberge Resort in Lake Charles, La.
Players and head coaches from each of the league's 11 football teams will be featured during the telecast which will air of ESPN3 at 7 p.m. Central time Wednesday.
Lincoln Rose will emcee the Southland Media Day telecast.
Hill and Wade are two of six Sam Houston State players who have been named to the 2014 preseason All-Southland squad.
Wade is Sam Houston's top returning tackler with 105 stops last year. Hill has totaled 1,396 career rushing yards and 2,312 all-purpose yards in his three years as a Bearkat.
One of the highlights of media day will be the announcement of the 2014 Southland preseason head coaches' poll rating from top to bottom how the coaches feel the league title race shapes up.
Other topics sure to be discussed by the head coaches will be the use of instant replay in Southland Conference football games this year as well as other rule changes.
The league's 2014 television package – which features five Bearkat games – also will be spotlighted.
Sam Houston opens the 2014 season at Eastern Washington on Saturday August 23 in the ESPN FCS Kickoff. The Bearkats play their first home game Saturday August 30 against Alabama State.

Single game tickets for all six games plus the LSU game at Tiger Stadium Sept. 6 are available on line as well.
