Bearkats in summer baseball

Every summer hundreds of college baseball players scatter across the country to play in collegiate wooden bat leagues. The three-time defending Southland Champion Bearkats are no different, with several playing this summer in their home state of Texas.
Backup catcher Hunter Courson may have had the furthest travel of any Kat player but has excelled in the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League in New Jersey. The Garland product was named the Most Valuable Player in the All-Star game.
Four Bearkats are competing in the Texas Collegiate League, pitchers Alex Bisacca and Andrew Godail and infielders Dalton Perry and Spence Rahm. Godail and Rahm were each named to the All-Star game.
Seven other players are competing in the Houston Area with Zach Brosch, Chance Fick, Wyatt Powell and Trevor Winne each playing in the Karl Young College Baseball League and Logan Boyd, Ryan Farney, Travis Lee all playing for Houston Wildcats.
Outfielder Colt Atwood and pitcher Sam Odom both were All-Stars in the California Collegiate League for the Santa Barbara Foresters.
Infielder Shea Pierce was named an All-Star in the Florida Collegiate League while pitcher Nolan Riggs played in the Cal Ripken Collegiate League All-Star game.
