Battle of the Piney Woods Tickets Now On Sale

The Bearkats face off with Stephen F. Austin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Reliant in a game that has become one of the premier college sports events in the Greater Houston area.
Each of the past four years, crowds of more than 25,000 have packed the lower bowl at Reliant. Last year's attendance mark of 26,213 is the largest audience ever for an NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision game in Texas.
Premium midfield seats at Reliant Stadium are available for $40 per ticket. Premium sideline seats are priced at $32 each, sideline corner seats $27, lower corner tickets $22 and end zone seats $15.
Group ticket discounts are available for 10 or more tickets purchased.
Each of the past four seasons, the winner of the “Battle of the Piney Woods” has gone on to advance to the NCAA Division I playoffs. Sam Houston has won the last three games at Reliant by scores of 45-10, 51-43 and 56-49.
The Bearkats lead the all-time series with Stephen F. Austin 51 wins to 35 with a pair of ties.

Season ticket packages that include all five home games at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium plus the “Battle of the Piney Woods” in Houston also are available online and at the SHSU ticket office.
Sam Houston's football success during the past three seasons has made tickets at Bowers Stadium a hot item. The Bearkats are one of only three FCS programs to earn NCAA post-season playoff berths each of the past three years.
Reserved chair back season tickets are $250. The price includes midfield sideline tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” at Reliant Stadium, one complimentary parking pass at Bowers Stadium, a $100 tax deductible donation to the Bearkat Champions Fund that helps support scholarships for student-athletes and a 2014 premium gift item.
Bleacher reserved season tickets are $100. The price includes lower corner tickets to the “Battle of the Piney Woods” and a 2014 premium gift item.
All season ticket holders earn priority points and access to exclusive events and priority towards purchasing tickets to premium away games (such as the LSU game this season), NCAA playoff contests and National Championship events.
To accommodate the demand for more premium seating at Bowers Stadium, new chair back seating will be added to the top of sections A, B, G and H, extending the chair back section across the top of the west stands.
