SHSU's Kuwahara at World Youth Championships

Janine Kuwahara, one of the six student-athletes who combined to bring home Sam Houston's 2014 NCAA National Championship bowling trophy, will compete in the World Youth Championships in Hong Kong.
The sophomore from Davao City, Mindanao in the Philippines is competing in the event for the second time. She made her championship debut in Bangkok Thailand in 2012.
Formal opening ceremonies for the tournament were Wednesday night. The event features the world's finest youth bowlers.
The field is expected to include bowlers from 46 countries who will compete in singles, doubles, team, all-events and match-play Masters. Competition officially begins with singles Friday.
Bowling fans from around the globe will be able to watch the competition live on BOWL.com's BowlTV thanks to a partnership between the United States Bowling Congress and the Hong Kong Tenpin Bowling Federation.
