Kats seek to correct mistakes entering weekend

Hello!
This past weekend we had only one game and it was against Northwestern State. Unfortunately, we lost the game in double overtime. It was a very frustrating game to say the least because it was a game we should have won. Putting the ball in the back of the net seems to be one of our biggest struggles this season, but we will continue to practice and improve on these things.
The game on Friday was definitely one we were capable of winning but things just didn't go our way the entire night and we just didn't play up to our potential. From missing countless scoring opportunities to allowing a goal in the last 10 seconds of overtime, there are a lot of areas that we will focus on to improve for our two games this weekend.
Last week, one of our teammates and a close friend of mine, Katie Ferrara, had to get ACL reconstructive surgery. She tore it a couple weeks ago in our game against HBU which unfortunately, ended her senior season quite early. As sad as we are to lose such a valuable member of our team, we will continue to support her through this tough experience.
Practices this week will be high intensity and will be very specific to what we need to improve on from this past weekend. We look forward to our games this weekend because we know that we are capable of winning them both. Our team just needs to focus on correcting our mistakes from this past weekend and capitalize on the opportunities that we will get this weekend.
This week in practice will be very critical as these next two games are important for us to win. We have a lot to improve on but I have no doubt that the coaching staff will give us the proper information and preparation we need in order to win these last few games. As long as we put in the work that is needed and correct the little mistakes, our team is capable of winning the rest of the games this season.
