Sam Houston No. 10 in STATS & 12 in Coach Poll

In the next to last regular season FCS national polls, Sam Houston stands No. 10 in the STATS FCS media poll and No. 12 in the NCAA Coaches Poll.
The Bearkats stand 7-3 for the year after a 59-21 victory over Northwestern State Saturday afternoon. Sam Houston ranks No. 2 nationally in scoring and total offense and in the top 10 statistically in rushing, passing and pass efficiency.
Central Arkansas, Sam Houston's opponent this weekend, moved into the Coaches Rankings at No. 25 while being listed among also receiving votes in the STATS rankings. The Kats and the Bears meet Saturday in Conway, Arkansas, in a battle for an FCS playoff berth.
McNeese State, the only undefeated team in the FCS rankings, stands No. 2 in the coaches' rankings and No. 3 in the STATs media poll.
Jacksonville State, sporting an 8-1 mark, is number one in both polls. Four-time defending national champion North Dakota State is second in the STATS rankings and third in the Coaches poll.
