Tickets to Saturday's McNeese game on sale now

Tickets are now on sale for Sam Houston State football's second round FCS Playoffs game at McNeese State by calling (936) 294-1729 or visiting GoBearkats.com. The limited-supply $25 tickets to Saturday's 6 p.m. game are located in Sections O and P behind the Sam Houston sideline.
When the squads square off at Lake Charles' Cowboy Stadium, it will feature the Southland Conference's top two teams, and offer a rematch for a Sam Houston team that took a 10-0 lead before falling 27-10 at the same venue on Nov. 7.
Sam Houston (9-3) and McNeese (10-0) stand as the only two Southland Conference members to advance to the FCS Playoffs five consecutive seasons, with the Cowboys doing so from 1991 to 1995 while the Bearkats current streak began in 2011.
In its opening round game, Sam Houston rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat Southern Utah, 42-39, and improve to 9-0 in FCS Playoff games at Bowers Stadium. The Bearkats, the league's top offense, boasted a program-best 118 plays, including the go-ahead 55-yard touchdown pass from Jeremiah Briscoe to Yedidiah Louis with 3:44 to play.
Cowboy Stadium, located at 700 E McNeese Street, holds 17,610 seats and was constructed in 1965. The visit will be the 20th all-time for a Sam Houston team in the midst of its ninth FCS Playoffs appearance.
