Hall, Jackson Earn CSM.com All-America honors

Sam Houston offensive tackle Donald Jackson and defensive end have been named to the CollegeSportsMadness.com All-America honor squad
Jackson, a senior from Kilgore, Texas, is a first team selection while Hall, a sophomore from Seguin, texas, is a third team honoree. Both are earning All-America honors for the second year in a row.
Jackson is a three-time All-Southland Conference performer who started every game this season, helping lead the Bearkats to their fifth consecutive NCAA Division I Football Championships playoff berth.
He is part of an offensive line that has paved the way for a Sam Houston attack that leads all FCS teams in total offense with 543.3 yards per game and first downs with 362. The Kats also rank third nationally in scoring (42.9), ninth in rushing (279.6), 11th in third down conversion percentage (.462) and 13th in passing yards per game (279.6).
A starter in the offensive line each of the past four years, Jackson has helped lead Sam Houston to a 41-17 record since 2012.
Hall is a two-time all-Southland player who stands as the Bearkats' tackle leader. Hall has been credited with 58 stops this season including 39 solo stops. He has 20 tackles for 82 yards in losses and 10 quarterback sacks. He also has blocked four kicks (three PATs and a field goal), intercepted two passes, had 10 pass break-ups and both a fumble recovery and a caused fumble to his credit.
Only in his second season, Hall now holds the Sam Houston career mark with 50 tackles for losses and is second in career sacks (22) and kick blocks (9).
Sam Houston plays host to Colgate this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium in the NCAA Division I Football Championship quarterfinals.
