Streater-Smith Honda Nissan will be the presenting sponsor for the 2nd Annual Bearkat Invitational Golf Tournament.
The Bearkat Champions Fund invites you to participate in the Bearkat Invitational Golf Tournament presented by Streater-Smith Honda Nissan, benefitting all SHSU student-athletes on Friday, June 5, 2015.
Sterling Country Club at Houston National's award-wining golf course will again be the site of the event. One of the finest golf layouts in the Southwest with casual elegance, championship golf and Texas hospitality, Sterling Country Club was rated the #1 Houston course and Houston National the #6 course for 2012 by the USGA according to the Houston Business Journal.

During the past two-and-a-half sports seasons, Sam Houston State has won two Southland Conference Commissioner's Cups, both a men's and women's Southland All-Sports Cup and 11 league titles.
To continue this amazing success the Bearkats request the help and participation of Sam Houston State alumni, fans and friends. Registration for the tournament is $300 for individuals, $1,200 for a foursome, $500 for a hole sponsor, and a hole sponsor/foursome package for $1,500.
The Bearkat Invitational Golf Tournament presented by Streater-Smith Honda Nissan is the sole golf outing hosted by the SHSU Athletic Department and supports all 17 sports.
Money raised from the event is utilized to cover expenses associated with seasonal needs (for example, travel and equipment) for more than 350 student-athletes that represent Sam Houston State University on the field and in the arena.
The four-man scramble tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Refreshments and food are provided throughout the day. A reception and awards ceremony will follow the tournament.
Each individual participant in the Bearkat Invitational Golf Tournament present by Streater-Smith Honda Nissan will receive a swag bag that includes a tournament polo and much more. Trophies and prize packages are given to the top three teams, as well as prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin contests.
