Ragin Cajuns Next CIT Foe Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Sam Houston men's basketball team will play host to Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bernard G. Johnson Coliseum in the second round of the CollegeInsider.com post season tournament.
The Bearkats advanced with an 87-71 victory over UNCW Wednesday night. The win upped Sam Houston's record to 26-8, the most victories in an NCAA Division I men's basketball season for an SHSU squad.
Louisiana-Lafayette earned a 83-68 road victory over Incarnate Word Tuesday night to advance in the tournament.
The Ragin' Cajuns own a 21-13 overall record and have won eight of their last nine games. The only loss was in the Sun Belt Tournament semifinals to regular season champion Georgia State.
Bearkat head coach Jason Hooten enters the contest two wins away from his 100th victory at the helm of the Sam Houston State men's basketball program. Louisiana-Lafayette head coach is Bob Marlin, the Bearkats' former head coach who moved to become the Ragin' Cajuns skipper in 2010-11. The pair combined to lead the Kats to 323 victories since the 1998-99 season.
Sam Houston was the runner-up in the 2015 Southland Conference race and reached the finals of the Southland Tournament for the second year in a row.
