Signees Earn McDonalds Full Court Award

Kamry Orr and Berniezha Tidwell, two of Sam Houston's signees for the 2015-16 season, received the McDonald's Full Court Award this week.
Orr, a 5-5 combo guard for coach Michael Green at Little Rock Central High School, led her team to a 24-4 mark. She has been selected as to play in the Metro All-Star game. She was both an Arkansas Class 7A all-state and all-conference player.
Tidwell, a 5-5 point guard for Hot Springs High School has lead her team to an undefeated record and the Arkansas Class 5A state championship. Tidwell scored the game-winning points in overtime in the title game.
“We are so excited to have all five of our new young players join the Sam Houston program next year,” SHSU head coach Brenda Nicholls said. “They are a talented group of student-athletes not only on the court but in the classroom. Some of their honors include All-Academic recognition and National Honor Society membership. They come from winning programs and know what it takes to be successful.”
