Each week leading up to the 2015 Sam Houston State soccer season, we'll spotlight one of 10 seniors. As a unit, the class has helped vault the Kats into a consistent competitor in the Southland Conference. Last season, the Kats posted their highest win total in league play at 8-2 and took second. With nine starters and 15 letterwinners returning in 2015, SHSU seeks its first conference title in program history.
Today's interview features senior Shelby McDaniel. A season ago, the League City native played in 19 games, starting in 18 for the Bearkats. McDaniel was second on the team with five goals including a pair against Abilene Christian.
