Kickoff time for Sam Houston's 2015 season opener versus Texas Tech in Lubbock Saturday, Sept. 5, has been set for 2:30 p.m.
The game will be televised by FOX Sports Net, the Big 12 Conference announced this weekend.
The contest is the first of 11 games in Sam Houston's 100th season of football. The Bearkats are defending Southland Conference champions and look to be a contender for the national championship as well after losing only three starters from last year's squad that reached the FCS Final Four for the third time in four years.
Season tickets for Sam Houston's six games at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium this fall plus the 90th “Battle of the Piney Woods” at NRG Stadium in Houston Saturday, October 3, are on sale now online at www.gobearkats.com.
Also available are tickets in the Sam Houston section at Texas Tech Sept. 5 in Lubbock. The ticket price is $35 per seat plus a processing fee. The seating location is in the allotted Sam Houston visitor's section at AT&T Jones Stadium in Lubbock.
All seating will be based on Bearkat Champions Priority Points with 2015 football season ticket holders and Bearkat Champions donors receiving top priority.

Sam Houston is one of only three football programs to earn a berth in the FCS playoffs each of the past four seasons. The Bearkats have won three Southland titles in the four-year span.
