More Preseason Honors for Bearkat players

Defending Southland Conference football champion Sam Houston has placed three players on the CollegeSportsMadness.com 2015 Preseason FCS All-America squad.
Offensive lineman Donald Jackson III, defensive end P. J. Hall and linebacker Myke Chatman have been named to the 85-player honor squad.
The trio helped lead the Bearkats to an 11-5 record, the program's third conference title and FCS semifinals appearance in the last four years and a fourth consecutive trip to post-season play.
Hall earned Southland Conference “Freshman of the Year” honors in 2014 and was the highest ranked defensive player in the 2014 balloting for the Sports Network's Jerry Rice Award for the top freshman in FCS action.
Jackson is a two-time All-Southland Conference performer, leading an offensive line that paved the way for more than 7,000 total yards last year.
Chatman ranked third on the Kat defense with 95 tackles.
Sam Houston begins its 2015 schedule Saturday Sept. 5 against Texas Tech in Lubbock. The first home game for the Bearkats is Saturday, Sept. 19.
