
Donald Jackson III Earns New Preseason Honor

Sam Houston senior offensive lineman Donald Jackson III Is one of four Southland Conference players listed on the College Sporting News 2015 Preseason Fabulous Fifty FCS All-America Team.
Wide receiver/return specialist Ed Eagan from Northwestern State, defensive end Jonathan Woodard of Central Arkansas and cornerback Harlan Miller from Southeastern Louisiana round out the league's selections in the Fabulous Fifty.
A three-year starter for the Bearkats, Jackson was named to three post-season All-America honor squads after Sam Houston's Southland Conference championship and playoff run to the FCS semifinals. The Kilgore product has been a first-team All-Southland selection two years in a row and is a preseason All-Southland first team honoree.
Ninety players will report Thursday for the opening of 2015 training camp for the Bearkats. The team opens the schedule Saturday Sept. 5 in Lubbock versus the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Season tickets for Sam Houston's six home games at Elliott T. Bowers Stadium plus the 90th “Battle of the Piney Woods” are on sale now online at www.gobearkats.com or at the SHSU Athletic Ticket Office now located on the west side of Bowers Stadium.
Beginning Thursday and running for the first week of Sam Houston practice, any fan who buys a season ticket will be eligible to win a special prize in a daily season ticket holder drawing.
