Hi there!
We finished off our last two non-conference games with one win and one loss. They were two very tough and hard fought games, but unfortunately we were only able to pull out one win. Last week was filled with hard, high intensity practices that definitely prepared us to be ready for a tough weekend against two good teams. This past weekend we played our two best games, which was a great way to end our non-conference play and give us a boost in confidence that we need heading into Friday night's conference game against UCA.
Last week, we got the chance of meeting our new strength and conditioning coach, Trevor. He was very respectful of us and very interested in being apart of our success this year. He was very clear about what he expected from us as a team on the field and in the weight room. We are all very excited to have the opportunity to be coached by him and we look forward to the impact he will have on this program as a whole.
This past week was packed with not only soccer, but a bunch of birthday celebrations! Madison Cannon, Katie Bunch, and Whitney Woodward had birthdays last Wednesday and Meredith Carlson's birthday was on Saturday. Needless to say, it was a very fun-filled week. We got to celebrate all of their birthday's and we got to finish our non-conference schedule on a great note!
We are heading into our first conference game at home on Friday with our heads high. It has been a tough non-conference schedule but we are proud of how we have played and what we have accomplished as a team so far. Our expectations are high and very realistic because of the talent each and every player brings to the team.
