Bearkat Bowlers stand is first after Day 1

After the first day of the Wildcat Invitational, the Sam Houston State bowling team stands in first place in the season opening tournament.
The Kats opened the first day of action with a 3-1 record, dropping the final match of the day.
“We got off to a good start today,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “I think we have done a good job preparing for this event, we just need to carry this over each day.”
The Kats averaged 202 over their four matches on the day, getting wins against No. 8 North Carolina A&T, No. 3 Arkansas State and Alabama State.
Action continues on Saturday in the 13-team event hosted by Bethune Cookman.
