Hall Named As FCS Dominating Defender

P. J. Hall, All-America and All-Southland Conference defensive end for Sam Houston, has been named to Athlton Sports' list of the top 12 defensive players in NCAA Division I FCS football for the coming 2016 season.
The 6-1, 280-pound junior has totaled 52 tackles for loss (the Bearkat school record) and 23 sacks in his first two seasons. The Bearkats have reached the FCS semifinals each of his two years as the team's defensive leader.
“There is great defensive talent across the FCS, and not surprisingly, most of the best in each of the 13 conferences will have their team in contention for a championship this season,” the article states.

Hall finished 15th in the voting for last year's STATS INC “FCS Defensive Player of the Year.” He has made 178 tackles in his two seasons, broken up 16 passes and played 10 kicks.
