Leading up to the 2016 Sam Houston State soccer season, we'll visit with the team's seven seniors. The unit seeks to add on to success from last season that included the program's first 10-win season and an appearance in the Southland Conference Tournament championship game.
In the final edition, we catch up with Spring native Megan Bennett. The Klein Oak High School product started in 20 of the team's 21 matches a season ago and scored the lone goal in a crucial 2-2 tie at Abilene Christian. In 1,847 minutes, she added one assist, five shots and two on goal. During her 2014 sophomore season, Bennett played in all 19 matches including making 11 starts. She added a goal against Nicholls while helping the Bearkat defense to five shutouts over the final six regular-season games.
