Kats take 6th at PVU Invitational

After overcoming an 0-5 start to the tournament, held at the International Training and Research center in Arlington, the Kats bounced back, winning seven straight matches before falling to Fairleigh Dickenson in the fifth place match.
“For us to win the last seven of eight was huge,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “The last two days are where we left off the first half (of the season). The first day was a lot of bad timing and too many costly little mistakes that added up. Now that the rust is knocked off we have to regroup, recharge the batteries, and get back to the drawing.”
Madysen Keller was named to the all-tournament team after posting a 210 average over six games. She had a high of 235. She finished second overall, missing the top spot by just 24 pins.
Heather Penatzer finished sixth individually with a 204 average, missing the all-tournament team by just one pin.
The No. 2 ranked Bearkats will be back in action on Feb 10 in Houston for the SFA Invitational.
