Kats perfect on Day 1 in Milwaukee

With a 5-0 day, the Bearkat bowlers are near the top of the standings after the first day of the Warhawk Classic in Milwaukee, Wis.
The Kats have picked up right where they left off last weekend, posting another perfect day after a 3-0 Sunday in Houston. The Kats currently sit in third place, trailing McKendree by 171 pins.
“It was nice to come out of the gate and set the tone,” said head coach Bra Hagen. “We need to continue to carry today's momentum through the weekend and continue to execute.”
The Kats started strong and never looked back. They topped 1,000 total pins in each of the first four games, including back-to-back 1,068 scores in games 2 and 3, their best score of the day.
They will open action on Saturday against McKendree.
“This time of the year it's all about stepping up and showing up and we need to not lose sight of our mission,” Hagen said. “It's a long season and we have to continue to take it one day at a time.”
