Kats in 8th at Hawk Classic

After one day of bowling, the Bearkats currently sit in 8th place in the 17-team field at the Hawk Classic hosted by UMES.
The Kats bowled a five match average of 193 for the day and are 160 pins out of the fourth spot for Sunday's championship round of the double-elimination bracket play.
“I thought we got off to a good start, but just let it go there in the middle matches,” said head coach Brad Hagen. “We finished well and now just need to take that momentum into Saturday.”
The Kats posted a 3-2 record on the day, opening with scores of 1,055 and 1,010. But in matches 3 and 4, they failed to top 1,000, putting up an 811 in the fourth match. They did close with a 1,029 in the fifth match.
