
ESPN+ to stream Baseball/Softball

For the third straight season, ESPN will once again stream Sam Houston State baseball and softball games on their streaming apps.
Currently eight baseball games and four softball games are scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+ with potentially more games to be announced at later date. The first game scheduled is Friday's baseball home opener against University of Louisiana.
Next week's game against TCU is also scheduled for an ESPN+ production. It will be the first of five mid-week games on the broadcast schedule. The other games are Baylor (March 19), Rice (April 2), Houston (April 9) and Texas A&M (April 30). A pair of Friday night games will also be featured starting with the Kats matchup with McNeese on March 29 and the much-anticipated series opener against UConn on April 26.
Softball will get started on ESPN+ with their first broadcast on March 23 against Lamar. April 3rdagainst North Texas will be the only non-conference broadcast this season. Saturday games against Houston Baptist (April 6) and Abilene Christian (April 13) will also be produced for ESPN+. Five additional games will be available this weekend for softball as all five games of the Texas Invitational in Austin will be on the Longhorn network and also available on the ESPN apps.
The broadcast schedule is dependent on weather and could change throughout the season. The most up-to-date broadcasts will be noted on both team schedule pages.
Additional games not part of the ESPN broadcast package will be available on either the Bearkats Sports Network YouTube Channel. Also, select home and road games will be broadcast on 90.5 FM, the campus student radio station. The production for all games is a joint project between the Bearkat Sports Network and the Department of Mass Communications at Sam Houston State.
ESPN+ is a premium multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International group in conjunction with ESPN.
